Baggage Policy

Standard Allowance

Each passenger is entitled to bring the following luggage free of charge:

  • Checked baggage: Up to 20 kg per person
  • Carry-on: 1 small bag (max 7 kg) that fits under your seat or in the overhead compartment

Excess Baggage

Luggage exceeding the standard allowance will incur an additional fee, payable at check-in. Rates vary by operator and route. Please contact us in advance if you are traveling with excess baggage.

Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited on all vessels:

  • Flammable or explosive materials
  • Compressed gas cylinders (except small camping gas — check with operator)
  • Corrosive substances
  • Illegal firearms or weapons
  • Any item deemed dangerous by the ferry operator or port authority

Oversized Items

Bicycles, surfboards, large musical instruments, and other oversized items must be declared at the time of booking. Additional fees apply. Space is limited and subject to availability.

Fragile and Valuable Items

We recommend keeping fragile or valuable items in your carry-on. ThaiWave and ferry operators are not liable for damage to checked baggage.

Baby Equipment

Strollers, car seats, and other baby equipment are carried free of charge and do not count toward your baggage allowance.

Tips for Smooth Boarding

  • Arrive at the pier at least 30 minutes before departure
  • Label all your bags with your name and contact number
  • Keep your e-ticket and ID accessible for check-in
